Course overview
This course aims to provide attendees with a sound understanding of the effects of the thermal environment on people and a means of assessing and controlling the risks associated with thermal stress.
Course pojectives
On completing this course, the attendees will be able to identify sources of thermal stress within the working environment and to understand the nature of thermal strain on the body.
Attendees will also be able to make an assessment of the thermal environment through appropriate measurement and other means; to evaluate the likely risk from exposure to thermal stress and to suggest appropriate control approaches for the thermal environment.

Assessment:
Attendees are assessed with a 40-short answer open-book written examination with an allowed time of 120 minutes at the conclusion of the course.
Certification:
British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) will issue a certificate of successful course completion to candidates who have successfully completed the course.
This course is an accredited course by BOHS as an essential training for the foundation level qualification for the International Occupational Hygiene Certificate.
Language requirement:
Whilst there is no pre-requisite for this course IELTS 4-5 is recommended to ensure quality comprehension of the subject matter.
