What is WSO CSS about?

WSO Certified Safety Specialist (WSO-CSS) is a safety practitioner who specializes in a specific area in the safety profession. The concentration must be in a definite area such as fire safety, transportation safety, nuclear safety, hazardous materials, product safety, health care safety, electrical safety, oil well drilling & servicing, ladder safety etc.

He/she must be able to perform both the technical and management work of safety in his/her respective field in order to secure the most effective results through and with other people. He/she performs all of the technical and management work required of the safety position.

Eligibility:

Language requirement:

Whilst there is no pre-requisite for this course, at least intermediate level of English is recommended to ensure quality comprehension of the subject matter.

Course outline:

The written/online examination for the WSO–Certified Safety Specialist covers the following areas:

Safety Law and Legislation (applicable country),
Professional Ethics plus specialized testing in the individual’s area of Professional Expertise
Industrial Hygiene,
Nuclear Safety,
Fire Safety,
Hazardous Materials Management,
Construction Safety, etc.

Minimum # of participants: 12/class
Course duration: 2 days
